CLASS INformation
LADIES WHO LIFT
This program has been designed for women who are fed up with being pushed toward light low loading exercise. It is tailored toward our mature female clients. It provides women with overall strength training and a great introduction to lifting weights in a safe space. It is an opportunity to build confidence, gain more independence and allows engagement with other like-minded women.
It is a weekly group that has developed a strong social element as well as enhancing physical fitness. Come along and try this session, you will be amazed at the results.
Suitable for those with the following conditions plus more:

LADS WHO LIFT
This program has been designed for men specifically who are eager to start strengthening in a supportive environment. It is tailored toward our mature male clients. Suitable for those with the following conditions plus more:

STRONG MUMS
A class targeted for all those hard working Mums that are trying to maximise their workouts and fit exercise into their busy schedules. It provides women with overall strength training and a great introduction to lifting weights in a safe space. It is open to a range of skill levels from those beginning to lift weights to people with experience and wanting to improve technique or form,
DVA TRAINING GROUP
A group provided to veterans to provide them with a safe and supportive environment to participate in strength training. Programming is individually designed and tailored by our Exercise Physiologist to help reduce pain, improve overall health and wellbeing, prevent injuries and improve mental health.
BALANCE AND EXERCISE CLASS
This program is best suited to those with balance concerns, history of falls or wanting to prevent falls in the future. It is targeted at an older age group and helps to improve overall capacity to complete tasks around the house, engage in social activities, regain their independence and remain an active participant in the community.
GIRLS CLUB
This is a program designed for young girls who are interested in beginning or developing their strength training. It provides a safe and supportive environment to which they can build confidence across all aspects of life, allow engagements with girls similar to their age and key skills to transfer into life, all while developing a healthier lifestyle. These classes are facilitated by our Physiotherapist Hannah and our Exercise Physiologist Kelsey.
BOYS CLUB
This is a program designed for young boys who are interested in beginning or developing their strength training. It provides a safe and supportive environment to which they can build confidence across all aspects of life, allow engagements with boys similar to their age and key skills to transfer into life, all while developing a healthier lifestyle.
PREGNANCY EXERCISE CLASS
This involves a 60 minute gym ball based aerobic and strength conditioning exercise class with a pelvic floor focus designed to help women have a fit and healthy pregnancy. These classes allow women to build confidence, achieve goals and provides time to socialise with other women going through the same experience. Please note classes require an assessment prior to commencement.
These classes are facilitated by our Women’s Health Physiotherapist Mel.
POST-NATAL EXERCISE CLASSES
Our Post Natal Exercise Classes, “Mum’s Who Lift”, involve a 60 minute cardio and strength based exercise class with the ability to bring your bub to class. The class is designed to learn safe lifting techniques and confidence with exercise after having a baby. Specific exercises to strengthen pelvic floor, abdominal muscles, upper and lower body strengthening exercises are included.
Please note classes require an assessment prior to commencement. These classes are facilitated by our Women’s Health Physiotherapist Mel and you are able to bring your baby to these classes.
WOMEN’S HIGH PERFORMANCE
This is a program designed for women who are interested in beginning or developing their strength training. It provides a safe and supportive environment to which they can build confidence across all aspects of life, allow engagements with girls or boys similar to their age and key skills to transfer into life, all while developing a healthier lifestyle. These classes are facilitated by our Physiotherapist Courtney and our Strength and Conditioning coach Jessie.
BACK AND SHOULDER GROUP
This program has been designed for men who are eager to start or continue strengthening in a motivating environment. It provides support from our team to which they can build confidence across all aspects of life and allows social interactions with other members. An initial physiotherapy assessment is required prior to joining the class. This class is facilitated by our Exercise Physiologist.
PILATES MAT CLASS
Our Pilates classes are an affordable option that aims to improve muscle strength, endurance, flexibility, core strength, improved coordination and breathing. The two classes are programmed and facilitated by our Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists.
The Pilates workouts are divided by focus area and skill level. There are BEGINNER and ADVANCED options within the session with specific focus on your:

Our Pilates classes are suitable for all ages and exercise abilities being gentle enough for pregnant women, while being also challenging enough for elite athletes. All participants are required to have an initial pre-screen assessment with one of our practitioners to ensure self-paced exercise is suitable for them.
HYDROTHERAPY
This aquatic exercise class is a great option for those of all ages and incorporates a range of exercises in heated pool. This class is programmed and facilitated by our Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists and conducted at the Samford Retirement Village pool.
