Here at The Movement Team we are proud to offer a Women’s Health Physiotherapy service helping women at all stages throughout their life.

Mel is our Women’s Health Physiotherapist who has 15 years experience as a Physiotherapist. She is extremely passionate about empowering women and helping them be the best they can be and has completed post graduate training in pelvic floor dysfunction and women’s health.

Mel spends her time during the week here at the clinic with 1:1 consultations helping women as detailed below and doing both Pregnancy and Post Natal Mum’s and Bubs classes which are also detailed below.

 

You may not realise but one of the best things that you can do is to see a Women’s Health Physiotherapist both during and after your pregnancy. Your body goes through so many changes during this time, and a lot that you are not aware of. Pregnancy may also be the first time that you have even heard of your pelvic floor before and the importance of it and we want to ensure you completely understand this important area of your body and help you prevent any issues that may arise. No matter what pops up, every one is different, and we are here to help you manage this and to make sure that you feel fit and healthy at any point along the way.

PREGNANCY ASSESSMENT

PREGNANCY EXERCISE CLASSES

60 minute gym ball based aerobic and strength conditioning exercise class with a pelvic floor focus designed to help women have a fit and healthy pregnancy.

Mondays 5:30-6:30pm

Price: $35/class – private health rebates available

Maximum 8 in a class

**All women must have a Physiotherapy initial assessment prior to attending.

PREGNANCY 1:1 TRAINING PROGRAMS

45-60 minute individualised 1:1 strength training programme to help women feel good during every stage of your pregnancy.

This is for all women who just aren’t sure what exercises are suitable to continue during pregnancy and how to adapt their workouts.

Price: $80/session + Private Health fund rebates

POST NATAL services & classes

POST NATAL ASSESSMENT

POST NATAL EXERCISE CLASS (BRING YOUR BUB)

45-60 minute cardio and strength based exercise class.

Bring your bubs to the class with time for feeding, nappy change and cuddles!

Designed to help women get their body strong again and look and feel good so that they can be the best mum they can be!

Learn safe lifting techniques and make some life long friends

Price: $35/class
Private health rebates available along with class packs

Maximum 6 in the class

Tuesdays, Wednesday’s and Friday mornings

**All mum’s must have a post natal assessment with Mel prior to attending
